The eastern United States will be going through a role reversal over the nextweek or two.Much of the spring was abnormally wet across the Northeast, while the Southeastcontinued to suffer through longer-term drought.
Over the next two weeks, a dry, northwesterly flow will dominate over theNortheast, resulting in little rainfall through the period as lawns start toshrivel up and turn brown.
At the same time, a moist flow of air will cover the Southeast, resulting inwidespread daily thunderstorms across the region. Most of these storms will beslow-movers, capable of producing generous amounts of rainfall with thepotential for flash flooding.
