The East Ridge/Holy Angels football connection remains alive and well with the announcement that East Ridge, a first-year high school in Woodbury, has hired Mike Pendino as the second football coach in the school's brief history. Pendino was the head football coach at Holy Angels for eight years and most recently was an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at East Ridge.

Pendino replaces Ray Betton, who left East Ridge after one season to take the head coaching job at -- you guessed it -- Holy Angels.
