Aggravated assault. Shots were reported outside of Tequila Tango, 992 Arcade St., after a bouncer tossed out a group of people who had been fighting inside. No one was hurt, but the bar's sign was shot out just before midnight, according to police. Officers arrived to find the bouncer and the bar's manager shoving one another because, the bouncer told police, he had advised the manager to shut down the bar before the shots were fired, and the manager refused. Because there appeared to be "no control of this establishment," the report said, "officers cleared out the bar due to the ensuing anarchy." Police were unaware of any previous trouble at the establishment.
Attempted robbery. A New Brighton man told police he was confronted by three men who demanded his money while he was in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue about 5:15 p.m. The man ran and then heard gunshots. Police found four bullet casings in a nearby alley. No one was injured.
