Neighbor complaint. A man on the 12000 block of Hilo Avenue called about an ongoing issue with his neighbor's dogs. He said the animals come onto his property and chase his free-range birds and horses.

JULY 19
Animal complaint. A woman walking her dog reported that it was attacked by an unleashed black lab on the 300 block of Dunbar Way. The victim dog sustained two puncture wounds. The owner of the lab took full responsibility.
MAPLEWOOD
JULY 14
Theft. A muffler was taken off a vehicle on the 2300 block of Larpenteur Avenue.
JULY 15
Theft. A vehicle was reportedly broken into and rifled through while the owner was fishing on Keller Lake near Hwy. 61 and County Road B.
Theft. Solar lawn ornaments were reported stolen from a yard on the 2300 block of Montana Avenue.
JULY 18
Arson. A portable outhouse and a fence were found engulfed in flames at Western Hills Park, 1750 Adolphus St.
Theft. The front passenger-side window was broken on a vehicle on the 2400 block of Upper Afton Road. CDs were stolen but a silver cell phone was left behind.

JULY 15
Identity theft. A 59-year-old woman on the 7000 block of 19th Street reported someone compromised her Hotmail account and sent an e-mail to all her contacts stating she was stranded in "Wales UK" and needed money.
JULY 17
Theft. An employee at the Holiday station at 3344 Hadley Av. N. reported the theft of nine packs of Swisher Sweets cigars.
Theft. A 68-year-old man was detained at Mills Fleet Farm, 5635 Hadley Av. N., for the theft of a bottle of Nestle's Strawberry Milk.
JULY 18
Harassing communications. An officer responded to reports of harassing phone calls received by an 84-year-old woman on the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue. The woman told police that females had called her and yelled vulgar messages and then hung up. Two phone numbers were obtained. The officer made contact with a 14-year-old and determined that the victim's niece was one of the callers. All involved were advised to cease making the calls.
SCANDIA
JULY 19
Gunshots. Someone reported hearing gunshots in the 20000 block of Maxwill Avenue. Police found a juvenile in the area lighting fireworks and advised him to stop.
JULY 20
Open/damaged gate. Police observed an open and damaged gate at Scandia Self Storage, 21070 Ozark Court. A silver-and-black combination lock on one of the storage units inside the grounds appeared to have been cut with a bolt cutter.
STILLWATER
JULY 16
Malicious mischief. Graffiti-like chalk markings were reported on the underside of a bridge on the 200 block of 2nd Street N. It was determined that all of the markings could be easily removed with no permanent damage.
Parking violation. The driver of a van was cited for parking in a handicapped space on the 100 block of Sam Bloomer way.
JULY 18
Animal concern. A woman reported locking her cat in her vehicle with the windows rolled up at the Washington County Historic Courthouse, 101 Pine St. W. By the time an officer arrived she had come up with a spare set of keys and opened the vehicle.
