A Twin Cities man crashed his snowmobile into a tree in a northern Minnesota state park and was killed, authorities said Tuesday.
Paul R. Schanno II, 53, of Eagan, was riding north of Savanna Portage State Park on Saturday afternoon when he struck a tree at a curve along the trail, according to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office.
Emergency responders pronounced Schanno dead at the scene.
