Driver questioned after alleged I-694 road-rage incident that involved gunfire

March 31, 2017 at 3:29AM

The driver of a vehicle involved in an alleged road-rage incident during Thursday morning commute on an east-metro interstate has been located, authorities said Thursday night.

No one was hurt in the incident, in which a gunshot from an SUV driver blasted out the back window of another SUV.

The clash began about 8:30 a.m. on westbound Interstate 694 at Hwy. 120 in White Bear Lake, the patrol said. As a white 2006 Cadillac Escalade exited to northbound White Bear Avenue, a shot from a man at the wheel shattered the back window of the other driver's Ford Explorer.

The Escalade driver was interviewed by authorities and consented to a search of his vehicle, authorities said in a news release Thursday night.

No gun was recovered and no one has been arrested, but the investigation will continue, they said.
