Driver killed in crash on icy I-94 in St. Paul is identified

A single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on the western edge of St. Paul has left one person dead.

An SUV ran off icy Interstate 94 Tuesday morning on the western edge of St. Paul and crashed, leaving the 29-year-old driver dead, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. on westbound I-94 soon after the SUV left southbound Hwy. 280, according to the State Patrol.

The man behind the wheel was identified as Uriel Isidoro, of South St. Paul.

The patrol described the interstate as ice-covered at the time.
