Driver hits I-90 overpass pillar, is killed

Killed was a 28-year-old man from Albert Lea, Minn., the patrol said.

A car ran off the road Sunday morning and struck an overpass pillar in southern Minnesota in a crash that killed the driver, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 8:50 a.m. on westbound Interstate 90, about 3 miles west of Blue Earth, according to the State Patrol.

Killed was Tyler S. Turner, 28, of Albert Lea, Minn., the patrol said. There was no one else in the car with him.
