A motorist suspected of running over a pedestrian in Mankato several days ago and driving away has turned himself in, authorities said Tuesday.

The 51-year-old man, from North Mankato, surrendered to police and is accused of felony hit-and-run and driving his pickup truck without insurance. He has yet to be charged.

Todd M. Bauman, 62, of Mankato, was run over about 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of N. 2nd and Washington streets. Bauman remains in serious condition Tuesday at a Rochester hospital, police said.
