A woman who rolled her SUV on a southern Minnesota highway in a crash that killed one of her three children riding along is suspected of using alcohol, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 8 a.m. Sunday on Hwy. 4 near Fairmont, according to the State Patrol.
Killed was 6-year-old Amonte King, the patrol said. Tejan Tapia, 4, went to the hospital with serious injuries. Yesania Tapia, 9, was slightly hurt.
The driver, Alicia M. Tapia, of Fairmont, was seriously hurt and hospitalized in Rochester.
The patrol said it detected that Tapia had been drinking before the crash, but the release of toxicology test results was pending.
