Ngon Vietnamese Bistro has always has been dedicated to Minnesota beers (all 13 taps), but now the Frogtown restaurant is going a step further. Owner Hai Truong (pictured) is starting a new series of "Tap Invasions" where a different Minnesota brewery will take over the tap lines each month. Summit begins its tap takeover on Thursday (March 15) with founder Mark Stutrud and several brewers in attendance (including Eric Blomquist, maker of the latest Unchained brew).

The deal: The happy-hour kickoff will feature $5 "keep the glass" pints with $4 refills. Even better: Try a flight of five 4-ounce pours. Check out the flight decks Truong built in his wood shop on Facebook.

The beers: Summit will feature eight beers (and one cask), including the new Unchained Dunkel Weizen and a firkin of Summit EPA with sorachi ace hops.

Details: Kick off is 4-6 p.m. Thu. 799 W. University Av., St. Paul. 651-222-3301. www.ngonbistro.com
