Aviation aficionados got a treat Wednesday night when they went to see a Boeing 787 Dreamliner touch down at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. United Airlines flight 2238 was carrying the Los Angeles Rams, the team the Vikings play Thursday night at U.S. Bank Stadium. The charter flight was the first Dreamliner to land at MSP, airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said.
Dillon Petrowicz said he could hardly believe it when he got an alert from Flightaware.com around lunch time Wednesday that a Dreamliner would land at MSP. Seeing a Dreamliner "has been a bucket list item," the Eagan resident and lifelong aviation buff said. "But I didn't think it would be at MSP. It was a cool experience."
