A major warming trend will begin across the Southwest on Friday, as high pressure builds in across the western quarter of the nation.

The warmest weather will wait until the weekend, as the air warms coming down from the Rockies toward the California coast.

The combination of sunshine and offshore winds could send temperatures into the 90s almost all the way to the coast over Southern California, especially Sunday.

The warm, dry pattern will persist into early next week.
