Both directions of Interstate 35W were closed last night in Burnsville because power lines fell down across the roadway.

The stretch of road near Burnsville Parkway is now open.

Storms were moving through the area at the time; it's unclear if that played a role.

No one was hurt.

Meanwhile, several clusters of power outages were reported in the Twin Cities Tuesday evening as storms rolled through, according to Xcel Energy's website. To the south in Faribault, about 2,680 customers were without power.

COVID-19 vaccinations scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan are postponed due to weather damage from storms Monday night, according to Fox 9 and WCCO-TV. The center is the Minnesota Vikings practice facility and became a temporary community vaccination site last month.

Appointments later in the week remain scheduled.
