Let's go micro with tonight's post and focus on two plays in the final 13 seconds of tonight's 94-92 loss to the Thunder.

* After trailing by 10 points seconds into the fourth quarter and by eight with 2:13 left, the Wolves scored six straight points and got with 94-92 with 41.5 seconds left. Then nobody scored again the rest of the night.

Twice, the Wolves had the ball with the chance to tie or take the lead. After Al Jefferson drew a charge on Russell Westbrook with 26 seconds left, the Wolves went back down the floor, Jefferson missed a 12-foot shot and in the scramble for the rebound underneath the basket, the ball bounced out of bounds.

Official Kevin Fehr ruled it had gone off Jefferson. The Wolves wanted the officials to review the replay of it. Crew chief Dick Bavetta consulted with Fehr, who said he was certain it went off Jefferson.

This from Bavetta:

"We conferenced on the play and I asked Kevin Fehr, who was right on top of the play, are you absolutely certain about the call? And he said, 'Yes I am absolutely certain about the call.' The guideline for going to replay is if there is uncertainty. So when the official making the call has absolute certainty, there's no reason to go to the replay.

He was right on top of the play. He was right there. We conferenced afterwards. I asked him point blank and Kevin Fehr said I am absolutely certain about the call.

The Wolves thought the replay showed the ball last touched Thunder forward Jeff Green.

"They made a decision, man," Al Jefferson said. "At the end of the day, I know now they're probably kicking themselves after they look at it. But mistkaes are made. They're not perfect. We're not perfect. You just can't take it personally."

Bavetta said the officials reviewed the video after the game in their officials' room.

"We didn't see anything to refute what the on-court ruling was," he said. "It looks like Jefferson just loses the ball out of bounds."

Kurt Rambis was asked about the decision not to review the play.

"I didn't need to see it, but the refs, I would have liked if they would have reviewed it," he said. "They made their judgment based on how the rule is written. If they are uncertain, then they go to replay. If they are certain, then they don't have to."

Still, the Wolves got the ball back after Ramon Sessions, sent into the game for Jefferson after that out-of-bounds play, stole the ball off a Green pass and then sent the ball ahead to Corey Brewer, who streaked toward the basket looking for his 26th and 27th points of the night.

Green came from across the court and blocked Brewer's shot out of bounds. The Wolves called timeout, set up a play and with 2.2 seconds left, sent Damien Wilkins underneath the basket to inbounds the ball.

With no timeouts remained, Wilkins looked and looked to throw the ball to somebody.

Jonny Flynn said the Wolves wanted to find Brewer moving into the corner. When that didn't work, Flynn set a backscreen in an attempt to get Ryan Gomes open.

When that didn't work, Wilkins ended up throwing the ball way up top to Flynn, who missed a forced three pointer for the win that just ticked the front of the rim at the buzzer.

"I was the dead last option," Flynn said. "It actually ran right. I got a shot. I wanted to get a shot without a hand in my face. Maybe I shot it prematurely."

Wilkins in-bounded the ball just in time.

"I was hoping to get th eball somewhere where someone could make a play going to the basket," Wilkins said. "It didn't work out that way for us. It's tough to settle for a jump shot. I told the referee to count out loud so I could hear his count and the last number I heard was four.

"I knew I didn't have much time after that. Luckily, Jonny popped free. He took a shot that looked good."

As for the rest of the game, here's game story detailing a rather unlikely duel between Kevin Durant (31 points) and Brewer (25), who is playing his way into consideration for the league's Most Improved award this season.
