Just thought I'd share a few of the sights we often encounter on our after dinner strolls down by the boardwalk at the headwaters to Minnehaha Creek as it empties from Grays Bay on Lake Minnetonka.

Watery reflections where turtles swim

Water lilies beginning to bud

Entrance to the beaver dam. Later in the season if you listen carefully you'll hear the babies squeaking and chattering.

Bikes are abundant but so are swallows and red wing blackbirds

Native plantings are scattered around the floodgates, as well as signposts with fun facts about the ecology of this enchanted place.
