AI is both a tool and a threat. And it may in fact be coming for your job. This year, the most accurate hurricane forecasts were AI (Google’s DeepMind model). AI is good at connecting dots and synthesizing data, casting a much wider net, faster. But I don’t trust it to make judgment calls. Sorry, but you still can’t outsource complicated decisions that require context, perspective and wisdom to a blinking machine.
A morning shower gives way to afternoon sunshine today. I see a few rainy spells the end of next week, possibly slush around Thanksgiving.
Models show 40s next week (our new definition of “warm front”) before much colder air arrives in late November and early December. We’re probably due for a Siberian spanking right?
