But icy conditions are still possible Sunday and Tuesday.

“When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.” I lost my father in 2025. Volker had a full life and we were with him when he passed, but grief still comes in waves.

“Wait, you want to make a living guessing the weather?” Dad might have been skeptical about meteorology, but he supported me, encouraging me to give it a shot. A reminder to surround yourself with people genuinely rooting for you.

You can’t pick your family, but you can choose friends who help you become the best version of yourself. You don’t know what your neighbor is dealing with. Try to give people more space, grace and the benefit of a doubt in 2026.

Two rare clipper-free dry days Friday and Saturday, but models continue to show an icing signal for the afternoon/evening hours Sunday; more freezing rain/drizzle next Tuesday. Conditions are not ripe for big snows.

In fact, longer range models show 30s from this week into mid-January, which is historically the coldest time of the year. Not this year. Nope.
