Beginning next year, Delta customers will be required to spend a minumim dollar amount on Delta tickets, in addition to logging qualifying miles or flight segments, in order to reach elite status. Here is the breakdown:
Silver status: $2,500 plus 25,000 qualifying miles or 30 qualifying segments.
Gold status: $5,000 plus 50,000 qualifying miles or 60 qualifying segments.
Platinum status: $7,500 plus 75,000 qualifying miles or 100 qualifying segments.
Diamond status: $12,500 plus 125,000 qualifying miles or 140 qualifying segments.
