Dessa, Trampled by Turtles and many other local acts also ranked high on the station's year-end list.

If you missed the daylong broadcast, the Current 89.3 FM revealed its Top 89 of 2010 over the weekend, voted on by listeners. Florence & the Machine's "Dog Days" took the top spot, which I can absolutely get behind. Both of those Mumford & Sons songs that made the top 10 have long since worn on me, though, and I personally believe Cee Lo's tune is the anthem of the year (although something is indeed lost in the radio edit). A lot of local artists made the list, too, including Trampled by Turtles and Dessa in the top 10. Interestingly, the top-ranking local songs also matched up pretty well with local music critics' picks in last week's Twin Cities Critics Tally. Here's how the top 10 stacked up:

1. Dog Days Are Over - Florence And The Machine
2. Little Lion Man - Mumford and Sons
3. Dance Yrself Clean - LCD Soundsystem
4. Wait So Long - Trampled By Turtles
5. The Cave - Mumford and Sons
6. Forget You - Cee Lo
7. White Blank Page - Mumford and Sons
8. Tighten Up - The Black Keys
9. January Wedding - The Avett Brothers
10. Dixon's Girl - Dessa

And here are other local songs that ranked high:

16. You'll Be Bright - Cloud Cult
18. Freefallin' - Atmosphere
19. The Chaconne - Dessa
22. Running With the Wolves - Cloud Cult
30. The Best Day - Atmosphere
34. A Girl, a Boy, and a Graveyard - Jeremy Messersmith
35. Violet! - Jeremy Messersmith
42. Not The Kid - Communist Daughter
