Walk for Glendalough

Glendalough State Park

9 a.m.-noon Saturday

Take a hike at the annual spring fundraising event. There will be coffee, cider and doughnuts before the hike, and a bratwurst lunch on return. The historic lodge will be open for tours. There is no entry fee. A small donation is encouraged. There is a voluntary offering for food items. (1-218-864-0110, mndnr.gov)

Geocaching 101

Mille Lacs Kathio State Park

1-2 p.m. Saturday

Get an introduction to using a global-positioning system. Bring your own GPS unit or use a park device. This class is designed for beginners. A new statewide geocaching program starts Sunday. (1-320-532-3269, mndnr.gov)

Full moon walk

Sibley State Park

6-7 p.m. Saturday

Join the naturalist on a monthly stroll in the prairie under a full moon. Each month will have a different theme, from animals of the night to constellations. Long pants or boots recommended to defend against ticks. (1-320-354-2055, mndnr.gov)

Earth Day weekend

Activities in the Twin Cities include:

• St. Paul has postponed its cleanup. New dates: April 28-May 5 (stpaul.gov/citywidecleanup)

• Minneapolis has postponed its cleanup until May 12. (minneapolisparks.org)

• 10 a.m.-noon cleanup Sunday, Fort Snelling State Park (612-725-2724, mndnr.gov)
