Cap off a day of winter activities in Pine Island with a candlelight walk. Begin at the golf course and continue along the trail. Sponsored by the nonprofit Pine Island Image Committee. (507-356-4839, mndnr.gov)

Start at the visitor center, learn about winter constellations and make a constellation chart to take along on a walk. Then follow the flickering LED lights, looking for stars and listening for owls along the packed 2.5-mile trail.
