1 Owl Prowl

Whitewater State Park, July 19, 8:30-10 p.m. Learn to identify the park's population of owls, based on their calls as well as their appearance. The program includes a brief presentation as well as a guided hike. 1-507-932-3007 or www.mndnr.gov.

2 3-D Archery Tournament

Carver Park Reserve, July 20, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Test your archery skills by shooting 30 3-D targets, with ranges up to 60 meters. This daylong tournament includes men's, women's and youth divisions, with plenty of opportunities to win prizes. $15. 763-559-6700 or www.threeriversparks.org.

3 Bike the Park Trails

Fort Snelling State Park, July 21, 10 a.m.-noon Take a naturalist-led bike tour of Fort Snelling and the trail-linked surrounding areas, including the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. Registration required. 612-725-2724 or www.mndnr.gov.

4 SUP under a Full Moon

Bryant Lake Regional Park, July 21, 8:30-10 p.m.

5 Mushroom Foray

St. Croix State Park, July 25, 11 a.m.-noon.
