DNC hits Paulsen with radio ad

Democrats take aim at 32 Republicans in districts Obama won

Don' t touch that dial. The health care debate in Congress might be moving at glacial speed, but Democrats in Washington are wasting no time making political hay out of last week's House vote, where all but one Republican voted no. Of course, that includes freshman Minnesota Republican Erik Paulsen, one of 32 GOP House members who represent districts President Obama won in 2008. Here's a radio ad the Democratic National Committee (DNC) unveiled Monday. LINK: http://my.democrats.org/page/-/audio/radioads/20091116_AD21_Erik_Paulsen_MN_03.mp3 The siren in the background is presumably an ambulance rendering aid, not the cops coming to make sure you bought insurance. The spot is supposed to be on the airwaves in Paulsen's suburban Twin Cities district this week. But though the DNC has been ginning up this campaign for days, they won't say how big of an ad buy they're making. A DNC spokesman tells Hot Dish "it's DNC policy not to discuss the size of our buys." But he also assures us, "it's not anything to discount." I guess we'll see. Or hear.
