Dixie Chicks
One of the biggest country acts of the 1990s, the Dixie Chicks haven't toured or released an album of new material in 10 years. But that didn't stop the trio from selling out two shows at the State Fair. Yes, it's an election year and the Chicks aren't apolitical. Their repertoire, filled with such hits as "Goodbye Earl" and "White Trash Wedding," has been expanded with covers of Bob Dylan, Beyoncé and Prince. Opening is Vintage Trouble, those energetic punk-funkers from Los Angeles. (7:30 p.m. Aug. 27-28, grandstand, sold out.)
