Sportsmen's show is Jan. 14-17 at RiverCentre in St. Paul

Boat and recreation sales are expected to be a popular focal point of next month's Minnesota Sportsmen's Boat, Camping and Vacation Show in St. Paul.

"The thing that I see different from 2015 is in the increase in boat and (recreation vehicle) sales. Every year since the middle of the recession it's been building. ... Projections look even stronger," said Barry Cenaiko, manager of the show, which runs Jan. 14-17 at the RiverCentre in St. Paul.

Cenaiko also said vendors representing Canadian drive-in and fly-in fishing destinations are hopeful, owing to the strength of the U.S. dollar vs. the Canadian dollar.
