"March, specifically winter, is a great time to photograph the ambassador wolves as they tend to be more active during the midday hours when most of our visitors come to the center. The white snow provides a dramatic backdrop to the ambassador wolves' thick winter fur. Winter also provides more visibility to the signs that wolves leave behind such as tracks, scats and evidence of predatory behavior such as kill sites. It is very difficult to see wild wolves in Minnesota. Seeing the signs they've left can tell us the story of their lives."
