"From the start to now the demographics have changed completely. When we started it was an older demographic. Today, there are a lot of youth, a lot of young couples with babies. A lot of people with kids come up and say 'My dad brought me here when I was that age.' And that always shakes me up. It's the continuation."

Chuck Delaney, creator of Game Fair, the longtime outdoors show that begins its 34th year Aug. 7 in Ramsey. Last year drew 46,000 people — and 4,000 dogs. Dog owners must fill out a printable online form about their dog and bring it to the show. "(Dogs are) welcome, and there is no charge for them," Delaney said with a laugh. Educational seminars run the gamut from turkey calling to catching up on the latest in the waterfowl world. This year's dates are Aug. 7-9 and 14-16.
