For a locavore's holiday meal, served family-style, head to FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar, where chef Paul Lynch will be serving cider-cured and wood-smoked turkeys raised with tender loving care by Wild Acres in Pequot Lakes, Minn., along with wild rice stuffing, cider gravy, maple-glazed yams and apples, deep-dish pumpkin-cranberry pie and more. Noon to 8 p.m. $29.95 adults, $12.95 ages 6 to 12, free for ages 5 and under. 31 S. 7th St., Mpls., 612-216-3473, www.firelakerestaurant.com

Pretend your family home is a Victorian mansion and book a table at the swank, historic Forepaugh's, where chef Donald Gonzalez will be preparing a family-style meal that will include sage-brined turkey breast, turkey confit stuffing, creamed spinach with shallots, Waldorf salad, brioche rolls and pumpkin pie. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $24.95 adults, $12.95 ages 12 and under.

276 S. Exchange St., St. Paul, 651-224-5606, www.forepaughs.com

The setting is far more contemporary at the stylish Loring Kitchen & Bar, which is celebrating its first Thanksgiving with a tradition-minded buffet that will feature roast turkey, cranberry stuffing, whipped Yukon gold potatoes, a green bean-crispy onion casserole, pumpkin pie and more. Chef Junji Umezu is also planning to offer a handful of regular menu items (Caesar salad, burger, pizza) for those not in the Turkey Day mood. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. $17.95 adults, $12 for children under 12.
