January is a slow time at the Guthrie Theater. To lure folks to the riverfront, the theater's first-floor restaurant, Sea Change, is offering a great dinner deal through the end of the month: three courses for $30. Appetizers include two raw-bar favorites (Alpine Bay oysters or tuna poke) plus the kitchen's awesome steamed pork buns; entree choices feature bouillabaisse, linguine with lobster or brandade ravioli, and dessert is pumpkin cheesecake or blackberry sorbet. The dramatic surroundings are included free of charge. 818 S. 2nd St., Mpls., 612-225-6499, www.seachangempls.com RICK NELSON

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
