Dining deal: Perfect Pickle at State Fair

September 1, 2012 at 6:27PM

FOOD

Not all deep-fried foods are created equal, at least not at the Minnesota State Fair. Here's one that's definitely worth ordering: the crunchy/tangy deep-fried dill pickle slices at the Perfect Pickle (Liggett Street and Dan Patch Avenue). Six dollars buys a basket, with a side of ranch-esque sauce, and the combo is one of the fair's better meant-to-be-shared snacks. Look for the bright lime-green stand -- and the long, but fast-moving line -- just north of the Midway.
