Eating well at Republic is never difficult, and the bargain prices at happy hour (4 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight, daily) only make the kitchen's handiwork more appealing. Check it out: The first-rate burger (beef, turkey or black bean) is $6; well-stuffed tacos are $5, addictive guacamole and chips go for $4, and select beers and wines are $3.
