Keep the prom party going at these late-night dining destinations.

Earlier this year, the team at Borough entered the Uptown market in a major way with sprawling Coup d'Etat. Its late-night bar menu features thin-crust pizzas (don't miss the one blanketed in spicy house-made sausage) and a handful of conversation-starting appetizers: gigantic tempura-battered frog legs, a citrus-splashed plate of raw tuna and smoky bone marrow. Kitchen open to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Freehouse caters to all kinds of after-hours hungers: excellent burgers (including one of the city's best turkey burgers), an array of shareable snacks (the smoked trout spread is a must, as is the Scotch egg made with smoked salmon) and a pleasant list of breakfast-all-day (and -night) items. Dessert? It's all about the fancy — and wicked-good — brownie. The setting is appropriately North Loop lofty. Kitchen open to 2 a.m. daily.

Those with a sweet tooth should consider descending upon 112 Eatery and ordering rounds of the kitchen's two iconic desserts: a beyond luscious butterscotch budino and a wildly decadent tres leches cake. OK, that banana tart is amazing, too. Kitchen open to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
