The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis reorganization plan calls for 21 parishes to be merged into 14 receiving parishes. The net effect of the changes, after implementation of all the announced mergers, will be a total of 192 parishes, compared to the current number of 213 parishes:
• Holy Cross, Minneapolis: Merge with St. Anthony of Padua, St. Clement and St. Hedwig, all in Minneapolis; St. Anthony of Padua is the receiving parish.
• Most Holy Trinity, St. Louis Park: Merge with Our Lady of Grace, Edina; Our Lady of Grace is receiving parish.
• St. Andrew, St. Paul: Merge with Maternity of the Blessed Virgin, St. Paul; Maternity of the Blessed Virgin is receiving parish.
• St. Augustine, South St. Paul: Merge with Holy Trinity, South St. Paul; Holy Trinity is receiving parish.
• St. Austin, Minneapolis: Merge with St. Bridget, Minneapolis; St. Bridget is receiving parish.
• St. Benedict, New Prague: Merge with St. John the Evangelist, Union Hill; St. Joseph, Lexington; St. Scholastica, Heidelberg; St. Thomas, St. Thomas, and St. Wenceslaus, New Prague: St. Wenceslaus is receiving parish; St. John the Evangelist, St. Scholastica and St. Wenceslaus buildings remain open.
• St. Canice, Kilkenny: Merge with Most Holy Redeemer, Montgomery: Most Holy Redeemer is receiving parish.
