Doomtree's most literate emcee Dessa may dress like a tomboy for her performances, but that doesn't mean she can't rock some lipstick with her jeans and sneakers. Produced by local vegan line The Elixery, proceeds from sales of the $18 "Dessa" lipstick -- a classic matte red -- go toward CARE, an organization that helps women in developing countries. Dessa celebrates with a party at Icehouse featuring a set from her live band with Aby Wolf and Ashley Gold. (8-10 p.m. Sat. $5. 2528 Nicollet Av. S., Mpls. www.elixery.com.)

NorthernGrade Men's Market

This is the big to-do for guys who dig the dapper yet rugged "heritage" look. The two-day popup sale is all about high-quality, reasonably priced, classic American-made goods. We're talking Red Wing boots, Duluth Pack bags, fur trapper hats by Fur Armor, wool blankets from Faribault Woolen Mill Co., colorful-soled oxfords from Greenwich Vintage and Pierrepont Hicks neckties, plus offerings from men's store BlackBlue and women's brand Mrs. P. Hicks. The market also includes a set from DJ Jonathan Ackerman (4-7 p.m. Sat.) plus coffee from Moonshine and Spyhouse. (Noon-7 p.m. Sat., 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sun. Free. Architectural Antiques, 1330 NE. Quincy St., Mpls. www.northerngrade.com.)

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
