The injury-depleted Timberwolves have signed forward Mickael Gelabale to a 10-day contract, the team said Saturday.
Gelabale, 29, last played in the NBA in 2008, with the Seattle SuperSonics. This season the 6-foot-7 forward has been playing professionally in Europe and Spain. Last year, he played for the French national team in the London Olympics.
The Timberwolves need help in the frontcourt. Center Nikola Pekovic is out for seven to 10 days because of a thigh bruise. And forward Kevin Love is out with a broken hand.
