Substantial snow being produced by a storm will have a significant impact ontravelers and daily activities across the central Rockies through Saturdaymorning. Treacherous travel, flight cancellations and power outages couldresult.The snow today will be found over Utah's Wasatch Mountains, as well as theColorado and Wyoming Rockies today. Snow will taper off over eastern Nevada.
Not until tonight will significant snow overspread the Interstate 25 corridorin Wyoming and Colorado. The snow will continue heavily at times into Saturdaymorning.
The snow through Friday night will leave 6 to 12 inches in Cheyenne, FortCollins and Denver. Amounts will be doubled in the foothills and mountains tothe west. Additional snow Saturday morning will add to these totals.
The snow over the northern Wasatch Mountains in Utah will total up to a footfrom today into Friday. That will add to the heavy snow that fell Tuesday andWednesday. Brighton Crest was buried by 35.0 inches these two days.
