I swung by the old Scherer Brothers lumberyard today a little before my lunch break. Above is what the former office looks like. Most of the place just looks like a large parking lot.

Last week, demolition began of the buildings at the former Scherer Bros. lumberyard, located on the east side of the river north of the Plymouth Avenue Bridge.
The property, which was purchased by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board last year, is being proposed in a new riverfront plan to become a seven-acre park with four acres of adjacent property for housing or other private development.
Demolition should be complete by the end of the month. Cleanup of soils contaminated by hazardous substances at the site is expected to begin in early November and be complete by the end of the year. To follow the site's development, go here.

I'm going to be fooling around with GoogleMaps in the next couple of weeks and adding park board projects to a map so it will be easier for me and hopefully other people to keep some of these projects straight. As time goes on, let me know of things I should add.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
