Delta Air Lines is touting that its requirements for earning Medallion status won’t change in 2026.

Any new changes to the loyalty program certainly would have been striking, recalling its rocky revamp of less than two years ago.

For now, the thresholds for Medallion status tiers will remain the same: You must earn 5,000 Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) for Silver; 10,000 MQDs for Gold; 15,000 MQDs for Platinum or 28,000 MQDs for Diamond.

As before, holders of the Delta SkyMiles Platinum or Reserve American Express cards will receive an automatic “MQD Headstart” of 2,500 MQDs.

The sweet spots for earning MQDs are also intact: Delta flights, Delta Vacations packages, and (perhaps) the periodic promotions to earn 1 MQD per dollar on hotel bookings through Delta Stays.
