Delta Airlines is asking Eagan to break up a 125-acre parcel of land that was formerly Northwest Airlines headquarters, apparently as a prelude to selling the building and property separately.
The company apparently has found a buyer for the building. So far, there's no word on a price for the building or whether there is a buyer for the land. The building, at 2700 Lone Oak Pkwy., is about 270,000 square feet. It was reportedly being marketed for $33 million as part of a 72-acre parcel.
The Eagan City Council will take up the matter on Sept. 21.
Fore!
Eagan will hold a shotgun start golf tournament on Sept. 20 at Valleywood Golf Course. The tournament is part of the city's 150th anniversary celebration. The cost is $85 per person for 18 holes of golf, a cart and dinner at Green Mill. Single and team sign-ups are available. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dakota Woodlands and the Eagan Resource Center, both nonprofits.
