A Delano man was one of two men killed Friday in a car crash on Hwy. 12 in Orono.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office said Saturday that Steven Crowley, 50, was killed when his car collided head-on with another vehicle just before 7 a.m.

The crash happened on eastbound Hwy. 12 between County Road 29 and County Road 6; the west-metro road was closed for nearly three hours as authorities reconstructed the accident.

The male driver in the other vehicle died at the scene but hasn't yet been identified.

The State Patrol is continuing to investigate.

Crowley and his wife, Anne, own a horse breeding and training facility, Vintage Vanners, in Delano. He spent nearly 30 years in the investment industry, according to an obituary the family posted, and is survived by his wife and three children.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.
