Fingerhut Direct Marketing of Eden Prairie is voluntarily recalling cookware sets after a few users were burned.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall Thursday of about 9,000 Chef's Mark 15-piece cookware sets.

The commission says handles can break, and Fingerhut has received six reports of breakage and three reports of minor burns.

The sets in question are model number 515 and Fingerhut product code H6637. The number and code are on the cookware's packaging. The nonstick cookware has red, green, black, blue or purple exteriors, black handles, glass lids and came with spoons, spatulas and ladles.

The sets, made in China, were sold exclusively through Fingerhut catalogs and fingerhut.com from January through October. The CPSC says consumers should stop using the cookware immediately and contact Fingerhut for a free repair kit. Also, Fingerhut is directly contacting buyers.

For additional information, call Fingerhut at 1-866-931-5417 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CDT or visit www.fingerhut.com.
