EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Someone who bought a winning $1 million lottery ticket in Wisconsin has just 17 days left to claim the prize.

State lottery officials say the ticket was purchased at the Kwik Trip in Eau Claire for the Sept. 23 Powerball drawing. The ticket matched the first five numbers to win $1 million.

The 180-day deadline to claim the million is March 21. The chance of winning that much money in the Powerball game is one in more than 5 million.
