Dayton to talk Vikings stadium at 2 p.m.

The governor has been uncharacteristically silent on the stadium drive since he received proposals from would-be Vikings sites

Gov. Mark Dayton will break his temporary silence on the Minnesota Vikings stadium drive at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Dayton, a Democrat, has avoided saying anything about the stadium push for days and suddenly walked out of his own press conference Wednesday morning.

The governor, who has had detailed proposals from several locations that want to house a new Vikings stadium since late last week, may reveal his favored site for the new football stadium. He has publicly been site neutral on the question, despite months of stadium discussions.
