Gov. Mark Dayton is expecting to become a new grandfather next month.

Dayton's oldest son, Eric, and his wife, Cory, are expecting their first child in late March. The couple has been married more than a year.

Eric Dayton, 32, and his brother, Andrew, own the critically-acclaimed Bachelor Farmer restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.

Dayton's sons and his daughter-in-law attended the State of the State speech Wednesday night.

Eric and Andrew are the sons of the governor and Alida Messinger, who has since re-married. Messinger is the daughter of John D. Rockefeller III.
