Dayton convert attends rally to lend support

Colleen Krebs support of Dayton brought her out to see Obama, too.

Colleen Krebs really wanted DFL House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher to become the next governor.

When Kelliher lost the primary, Krebs didn't know if she could support DFLer Mark Dayton.

Then she heard him speak on a radio show for an hour and answer questions about the challenges facing state government.

Now she's convinced.

"He's truly an honest person who is in touch with the common person and has middle-class people at heart," said Krebs, of Minneapolis.

Her devotion to Dayton was enough for her to endure a long line to see Dayton and President Obama at a University of Minnesota rally.

"I am really here to support Dayton," she said while holding a Dayton sign.

"At first I thought it would be hard to support him," she said. "But I am really impressed."
