Gov. Mark Dayton and his cabinet members will host a session with Minnesota's tribal leaders Thursday to discuss a range of issues.

These are regular "government to government" discussions that will focus on such issues as disparities in education and health care, concerns about natural resources and the future of the Indian Affairs Council, said Katharine Tinucci, spokeswoman for Dayton.

"The governor is interested in maintaining good relations with the tribes," Tinucci said.

The meeting will take place in the Capitol at 2 p.m.
