Dario Anselmo, a Republican challenging Rep. Ron Erhardt, DFL-Edina, announced he raised about $24,000 last year and has about $30,000 cash on hand.
Candidates are filing their 2015 campaign finance reports by Feb. 1, to be released by the state campaign board Tueday.
Anselmo lost narrowly to Erhardt in 2014.
Erhardt, a former Republican, is serving his 11th term. He is being challenged for the DFL nomination by Heather Edelson and Matt Samuel.
The seat is an important one of the DFL if they hope to win back the majority.
