After a long weekend of outdoor performances, local brewery outings and a hell of a Somerset festival I would say the essence has been on 100 when it comes to the past few months full of concerts, sessions, after-parties and cyphers. One of the main rappers killing it in these cyphers out here is 28-year-old St. Paul rapper Dante Pedro who released "Thief In The Night" this past Sunday night.

Also known as Señor, Pedro has been doing his thing in and out of the Twin Cities, L.A. and Atlanta for almost a decade, collaborating in the studio through songwriting and production with the likes of Usher, Ray J, TEK, and the crew AllNation. He has opened for several national rap acts (most recently for T.I.) and acted in the HBO production of "Bessie" starring Queen Latifah.

Whether you agree with his shots fired on this song or not, he proves his delivery is sharper than a shark's grill and his confidence in his bars serves him every right to do what he has to do to make a city full of rappers hear him out by any means necessary. As for those who are upset ... take it as "friendly competition" and let it fuel your skills if you can swim in these rap lakes at night. If you didn't know him, now you do and Dante Pedro's "Thief in the Nigh0"t proves to be one of the most talked about tracks on the block right now. Go in!

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
