A storm will rapidly intensify off the Middle Atlantic seaboard on Wednesday,bringing blizzard conditions to the Middle Atlantic region and southern NewEngland, including the major cities of Philadelphia and New York.The combination of strong winds and heavy snowfall on Wednesday will cause someroads to become impassable as the snow quickly accumulates and drifts. Thewinds will howl past 40 mph at times.

Motorists who are able to travel will encounter whiteout conditions and veryslick, snow-covered roads throughout the day and into the evening. In additionto blowing and drifting the snow, the winds could down trees and powerlines.

Combined with bitterly cold air, the winds will send AccuWeather RealFeeltemperatures plummeting into the lower teens Wednesday.
